SAP Basis serves as the system administration platform that supports the entire SAP System, ensuring that all SAP applications run smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
Database Management: Ensuring that the database is properly maintained, optimized, and secure. This involves activities like backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database replication.
User Administration (optional work): Managing user access and roles, ensuring that users have the appropriate permissions to perform their tasks while maintaining data security and integrity.
System Configuration: Setting up and configuring the SAP system landscape, including SAP servers, clients, and instances. This includes monitoring the system’s performance, applying patches, and conducting system upgrades.
Transport Management: Overseeing the movement of development objects, such as programs and configurations, across different SAP environments (development, quality assurance, and production).
System Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the SAP environment to ensure that all components are operating correctly. This involves using tools like SAP Solution Manager to monitor performance, detect issues, and generate alerts.
